Excellent drying agent for damp cupboards or basement corners

Posted by Simon Manley on 16th Apr 2015

For a troublesome damp spot in a basement or cupboard, you need serious drying power. Heat simply won't work. Small packs of silica gel are a start but will not have the grunt for the job.
The 3 kilo pack has serious absorptive power. Put it in a metal baking dish, leave in the troublesome area, and it will soak up a litre or two of water before it turns pink. Then pop it into the oven, give it an hour at 150 C and the water is boiled out, leaving blue crystals, all ready for another cycle.
Seriously useful, at an economical price, promptly delivered!
